A new web site called Long Island Online Radio at www.LongIslandOnlineRadio.com allows local Long Island web site owners to add music to their web site for free. It was created by the LI Podcast Network at www.LiPodcastNetwork.com. Web sites who add the radio player can also make money by referring advertisers.
Long Island Online Radio has a playlist of over 100 local Long Island musicians and bands from various genres include Rock, Country, Dance, R&B, Jazz, and more. They change the playlist often, usually about once per week.
Any web site owner from Long Island can simply join the online radio affiliate network and receive a little plug in for their web site which will launch the online radio player on their web site. The radio player also displays the web site logo as a co-branding marketing strategy.
The programming staff of LI Podcast Network changes the music. So, affiliates do not have to worry about changing or maintaining the music.

Heal Yourself Talk Radio Now Uses Podcast Page Maker August 23, 2007

I had a conversion with Rebecca White, host of Heal Yourself Talk Radio, who signed up for PodcasterWhosWho.com, but did not visit the site in a while. She was surprised to find the Podcast Page Maker, a utility which I wrote that allows podcasters to give their podcasts to any web site. It opens a little section of anybody’s web page and displays links to their podcast, a GREAT marketing tool for any podcaster.
So, she surprised me and told me that the Podcast Page Maker would be on her web site in 10 minutes. We spoke on the phone for 15 minutes. So, by the time we hung up, it was there on http://www.healyourselftalk.com/. So, Rebecca, thanks for keeping your word

The Long Island Podcast Network now host 30 podcasts in news, music, sports, health, technology, and more. There is something for everyone on the island. Since December 2005, when Bruce first started the Fresh Music Series, we have received requests to host over 150 podcast shows from Long Island and outside the area. We have been very selective in bringing only quality podcasts and choose the ones which are of value to the local Long Island public. Keep checking as we add new podcasts.

AT 8:15 AM on Monday, April 16, 2007, Bruce was interviewed by Jess of WRHU, Hofstra University about the LI Podcast Network.
She asked questions about the birth of the Long Island Podcast Network, our shows, its community events, promotion of local unsigned bands, and more.
This shows that the LI Podcast Network is growing in the Long Island community.

Bruce C from Long Island Podcast Network led the session at Podcamp NYC called The Magic of the RSS Feed and Leveraging It To Increase Traffic and Subscribers To Your Podcast Or Blog. The event took place int he New Yorker Hotel on 34th and 8th in NY City at 1:00 PM on Saturday, April 7th 2007. Bruce’s event was in the Central Park conference room.
The room held 80 chairs, but Bruce’s session was populated by over 110 podcasters with a large group of people standing in the back.
“The event was a success”, quoted Mark Tafoya of the Culinary Podcast Network, “I will take your advice and use your RSS feed theories to increase my traffic.”
The Culinary Podcast Network also joined Bruce’s new web site “Podcaster Who’sWho” at www.PodcasterWhosWho.com.
Bruce will be speaking at other Podcamp events including Podcamp Philly and Podcamp Toronto.
